A lot of commenters below pointing out how Finland was allied with Germany during WW2, which is of course technically true. But if you studied history even just a little bit, you'd realize that Finland didn't aid or assist Germany in any way, and they didn't deport a single jew to the nazis despite numerous requests/orders from the nazi leadership. The "alliance" between the two was for Finland to avoid Soviet invasion. An alliance out of necessity, not desire. Similarly, Finland joined NATO earlier this year to avoid any risk of a Russian invasion, again an alliance of necessity not desire. The message here is quite clear; "the enemy comes from the east" and all Finnish people have known this for hundreds of years.
